Twenty-seven million dinar will be distributed to Jordanian families through a fund set up specifically to help people in need throughout the coronavirus crisis.

A third and final payment will be made from the Himat Watan Fund, set up in April, to the National Aid Fund, Deputy Chairman of the fund Jamal Al Sarayreh said on Sunday.

The fund will also be used to support the return of Jordanians stranded overseas whose lack of finances may have prevented them returning so far, he said.

Al Sarayeh added donations were still urgently needed.
