Jordanian Ministry of Social Development in the Directorate of Irbid has been searching for a homeless child after citizens in the area filed a complaint against a child sleeping near a bank ATM in a downtown Irbid.

Since the early morning of today, November 11, 2018, and in cooperation with the competent authorities, the search began for the child. In a statement, the Ministry called upon the citizens to assist the research teams and report on the whereabouts of the child in order to carry out the necessary measures. Citizens were urged to contact the Social Development Director in Irbid, Walid Obeidat, at the following number 0798518240.

Authorities are looking for the child in order to provide the necessary assistance and assess the examining the condition of the child’s family as well.

The Ministry affirmed the importance of citizens reporting any similar sightings in the future.
