Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sent a message to His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday, October 30, to offer her deepest condolences for the Dead Sea tragedy, in which flash floods claimed the lives of 21 students, teachers and civilians last Thursday, October 25.

The message was posted on royal.uk, the official online home of the British royal family.

The British monarch wrote:

“Prince Philip and I were deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of life caused by flash flooding at the Dead Sea region in Jordan.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have lost loved ones.
