Three people were seen standing at the top of a building in Amman on Wednesday, threatening to commit suicide.

According to witnesses, security and civil defense rushed to the scene, to convince the father and his two sons not to jump off the building.

A security source revealed that the man who was trying to jump off a building near the 7th circle, was demanding his labour rights.

According to public security figures, around 105 people committed suicide, and 388 attempted to, in 2017.

According to the released figures the suicide cases were higher among the age group 18 and 27 years. Males made up the highest number of suicides whilst females made up the highest number of attempted suicides.
