The close relations between Jordan and Denmark were once again confirmed during a visit by HRH Princess Basma bint Ali to the Danish eco-village Friland and its vegetarian Restaurant Moment.

During the visit, local authorities, cultural personalities and inhabitants of the village informed HRH Princess Basma bint Ali how they are working towards a cleaner and more environmentally-friendly future by building with mainly natural unprocessed materials, by minimizing the amount of waste and by handling their own waste water.

The Danish-Jordanian relations also involve cooperation with the current European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 on an opera project, which will be performed in Aarhus, Denmark, in October 2017. Thanks to HRH Princess Basma bint Ali, a collaboration between the Women of Tal Al-Rumman's Cooperative Association and the cultural ensemble DUST in Denmark have been established for the project "AGONY – an eating opera", where jameed produced by women from the village of Tal al-Rumman will be served.

The Danish composer Line Tjørnhøj and Juliana Engberg, Programme Director of the European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 presented the plans for the opera-project and the activities of the cultural programme to HRH Princess Basma bint Ali.
