Traffic accidents across Jordan leave one dead, 14 injured

Traffic authorities and civil defense teams responded to multiple accidents across Jordan over the past 24 hours, resulting in one fatality and 14 injuries, according to the latest traffic report on AmenFM.

The accidents caused material damage to vehicles and temporary traffic disruptions.

Accident Details

A pedestrian was killed and another injured in an accident on Safout Road after crossing beneath a bridge and climbing over a safety barrier without taking necessary precautions.

In Jerash, a Coaster passenger bus overturned on Sakib Road, injuring nine people who were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

In Ma’an, a vehicle overturned on the Pilgrims' City Road towards the south, injuring three individuals who were transported to Ma’an Government Hospital.

Additionally, a collision between two vehicles on the Sweimeh-Dead Sea Road left one person injured, who was transferred to Shouneh Hospital.

Meanwhile, a cargo truck overturned on the Madaba Bridge Road heading south, but no injuries were reported.

Authorities Urge Caution

Traffic authorities urged drivers to follow road safety regulations and avoid dangerous violations to ensure their safety and that of other road users. They also emphasized the importance of calling the emergency number 911 in case of urgent incidents.
