Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has commended Jordan’s firm rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people or forcibly remove them from their land under any pretext or justification.

In a statement issued early Monday, Hamas emphasized the Palestinian people's steadfast commitment to their homeland and their refusal of displacement or forced migration.

“We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), highly value the principled stance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, which firmly oppose the displacement of our Palestinian people or any attempts to uproot them from their land under any pretext,” the statement read.

Hamas also called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to assert their unequivocal rejection of all forms of Palestinian displacement and to support the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Jordan reiterates support for Palestinians

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, reiterated Jordan’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that the two-state solution remains the only viable path to peace and rejecting any attempts to displace Palestinians.

Safadi affirmed that “rooting Palestinians on their land is a fixed principle for Jordan that will not change,” adding that Jordan will work with all its partners to achieve peace based on a clear vision.

Continued Jordanian aid to Gaza

Safadi highlighted that Jordan, under royal directives, continues to provide uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza in preparation for reconstruction efforts. He underscored the importance of regional and international cooperation to take concrete steps toward peace.
