Haitham Misto, the head of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), confirmed that Jordan's airspace will be temporarily closed on Sunday, June 9, 2024, as the country celebrates Silver Jubilee marking His Majesty King Abdullah II’s ascension to the throne.

Misto informed Roya that the closure will be effective from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Airlines were notified in advance, and flight schedules have been adjusted accordingly to accommodate the closure.

He emphasized that the airspace closure is essential to facilitate the aerial displays planned for this significant national occasion.

Additionally, Queen Alia International Airport announced the temporary closure of Jordan's airspace for incoming and departing flights to facilitate the air shows commemorating His Majesty King Abdullah II's 25th anniversary on the throne.

The airport advised travelers to stay updated on flight information and any adjustments due to this airspace closure by contacting their respective airlines.
