The “Israeli” war cabinet unanimously approved new guidelines for their negotiating team “to continue negotiations for the returns of hostages” – a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said.

According to the Egyptian source cited by Hebrew media, an “Israeli” delegation visited Cairo to discuss security coordination and attempt a breakthrough in the ongoing quarrel between “Israel” and Egypt over the Rafah Border Crossing.

The source said discussions also covered the role of Egyptian mediation, which has come under fire recently, with Egypt threatening to relinquish its role as a mediator – after claims by the United States and the Israeli Occupation that it changed the terms of the latest ceasefire proposal when it was presented to Hamas after it was agreed to by “Israel”.
