The Egyptian Cairo News Channel reported that there are renewed talks for a ceasefire between Israeli Occupation and Hamas scheduled for Sunday in Cairo.

This comes after nearly six months of aggression in the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli Occupation official stated that a delegation will head to Cairo, while a Hamas representative mentioned they will wait for the outcome of discussions between Egyptian mediators and the Israeli Occupation side.

Negotiations, facilitated by Qatar and Egypt, aim to establish a six-week ceasefire and release 40 out of 130 captives in Gaza.

Hamas aims to end hostilities and withdraw Israeli Occupation Forces, while Israeli Occupation focuses on dismantling Hamas' military capabilities and ending their control in Gaza.

Additionally, Hamas seeks the return of displaced Palestinians to northern Gaza, whereas Israeli Occupation proposes the return of only a portion.

Health authorities in Gaza reported over 32,000 Palestinian casualties since the escalation began.

Recent reports highlight ongoing Israeli Occupation airstrikes and ground attacks, resulting in 82 Palestinian fatalities within 24 hours, with intensified fighting near Al-Shifa Hospital, now under Israeli Occupation control.
