American website "Axios" cited two officials within the Israeli Occupation government as saying that Tel Aviv has agreed to release approximately 700 Palestinian prisoners, among them 100 serving life sentences.

Axios further reported that in return for this, 40 Israeli Occupation captives in the Gaza Strip would be set free.

Moreover, Hebrew media outlets quoted senior Israeli Occupation officials as stating, "Tel Aviv has expressed willingness to engage in discussions regarding an American proposal aimed at resolving the issue of Palestinian civilians returning to the northern Gaza Strip, a matter that has been a key point of contention in the negotiations."

These media reports indicated that Tel Aviv is open to considering a gradual return of over 2,000 Palestinian civilians per day to the northern Gaza Strip following the commencement of the captive releases.

The Israeli Occupation negotiating team's flexibility regarding the prisoner count reportedly follows a mediation proposal put forth by the CIA director in collaboration with Qatari and Egyptian mediators during the recent talks in Doha at the end of the week.
