Ashraf Al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated on Saturday the dire situation in the strip, with over a million people suffering from malnutrition, exacerbated by the Israeli Occupation's refusal to deliver essential medical supplies and fuel to the north.

He emphasized the complete incapacity of the medical sector in northern Gaza to provide adequate care due to severe resource shortages.

Al-Qudra highlighted the destruction caused by the Israeli Occupation, which targeted and destroyed 150 medical facilities and rendered 32 hospitals non-functional. This has left the remaining three hospitals in Rafah overwhelmed and unable to meet the medical needs of the population.

Urging international intervention to address the health crisis in Gaza, Al-Qudra emphasized the urgent need for support from international institutions.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported an increase in the number of martyrs and casualties since the beginning of the aggression on the strip on October 7.

The continuous aggression on Gaza has resulted in the martyrdom of 29,606 Palestinians and the injury of 69,737 individuals since October 7, along with the loss of thousands under the rubble, according to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
