The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it received assurances from the Hamas regarding the receipt and initiation of delivery of a shipment of medicines to captives held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

This follows the implementation of an agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation, mediated by Qatar in collaboration with France, brokered in the middle of last January.

Majid Al-Ansari, the official spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that “Qatar received these confirmations as a mediator in the agreement, which includes the entry of medicines and a shipment of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the most affected and damaged areas, in exchange for delivering the needed by the hostages in the sector.”

Al-Ansari confirmed the continuation of Qatari mediation, with regional and international partners, especially in the exchange of prisoners and captives, as part of Qatar’s efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
