The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated that the IOF was behind the intense airstrikes that targeted the city of Sidon in south Lebanon.

Hagari added that the airstrikes targeted a Hezbollah weapon depots in the Al-Ghaziyeh area and were in response to an earlier drone attack by Hezbollah on Tiberias.

The IOF will continue to respond forcefully to Hezbollah's attacks, Hagari emphasized.

“Israeli” aircraft carried out heavy airstrikes earlier Monday on the village of Al-Ghaziyeh and the outskirts of the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp near the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon - per Roya’s correspondent.

Multiple and consecutive strikes were conducted. The airstrikes targeted the Al-Ghaziyeh area and the industrial zone, with additional strikes hitting various areas in southern Lebanon.

It also targeted the towns of of Al-Adisa and Kafr Kila. Videos showed damages inside the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp as a result.

The “Israeli” army radio reported that the attack on Sidon targeted Hezbollah's infrastructure and was not an assassination operation.

Lebanese security sources reported eight minor injuries due to the targeting of the town of Al-Ghaziyeh, with fires still burning at the site of the attack.
