Last year, Jordanian expenditures on foreign travel reached JD 1.348 billion, marking the highest in five years.

Expatriates' spending on tourism in Jordan surged by 18.2 percent compared to 2022, reaching approximately JD 1.6 billion, the highest in the past five years.

Despite a general increase in Jordanians' travel spending earlier in the year, the last three months saw a decline of about JD 293 million, attributed to geopolitical tensions and economic challenges following the Israeli Occupation aggression against Gaza, ongoing for 120 days.

Expatriate Jordanians surpassed other nationalities in spending on tourism in Jordan, constituting 30.3 percent of the total, followed by foreign tourists at 27 percent, non-Gulf Arab tourists at 24 percent, and Gulf countries at 19.4 percent, totaling over JD 5 billion.
