The British Embassy in Amman announced that the British Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) program is now open for all Jordanians and Gulf Cooperation Council citizens planning to visit the UK starting February 22.

Following the successful launch for Qataris in October, this expansion allows citizens to apply for multiple visits over two years, or until passport expiration, for a reduced fee of £10.

The ETA, replacing the Electronic Visa Waiver System, aims to enhance travel experiences and foster economic and tourism cooperation between the UK, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and Jordan.

The global rollout will include visa-exempt countries, with potential expansion to other nations later.

The application process, conducted through a mobile app, involves providing personal details, biometrics, and answering eligibility questions, with decisions typically made within hours.
