The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced the death of two officers in ground battles in the Gaza Strip.

The IOF said in a statement Thursday that Major (Reserve) Gal Meir Eizenkot, 25 years old, from Hertzliya, a fighter in the 699th Battalion "Hafti Hash," was killed in a battle in northern Gaza.

Gal Ezeinkont is the son of Gadi Eisenkot, a member of the War Cabinet and former Chief of Staff.
