Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) targeted the vicinity of the power plant in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday, per Al-Jazeera.

The power plant has been a previous target for the IOF in previous conflicts, and was completely destroyed in 2006 and 2014.

IOF airstrikes reportedly hit areas in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, stated that "the movement has handed over its response to the brothers in Qatar and the mediators, and we are close to reaching a ceasefire agreement."

The IOF’s campaign of aggression continues against the Gaza Strip for the 46th consecutive day, with the death toll reaching over 13,300 and over 31,000 wounded - according to data from the Gaza government's media office.
