Hamas official, Ezzat al-Rishq, stated that they are getting closer to reaching a truce agreement, expressing hope that it will happen soon.
Reports suggest a possible five-day pause in fighting, as reported by Aljazeera.
He mentioned that there has been procrastination from the Israeli Occupation in finalizing the ceasefire agreement, especially from Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Rishq emphasized the unity of Palestinian resistance in both the field and politics, stating that the truce agreement will include everyone.
He highlighted that the release of an agreed-upon number of Israeli Occupation captives, including women and children, will be met with the release of Palestinian women and children from Israeli Occupation prisons.
Rishq rejected delving into the details of the expected agreement at the moment, stating that when it is reached, it will be announced in Qatar.
Earlier, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, had announced that they are nearing a truce agreement with Israeli Occupation in Gaza.
