Security forces intercepted Thursday an attempt to smuggle cocaine originating from a Latin American country. The operation took place after suspicions arose regarding a machine's arrival from this country, having passed through multiple nations before reaching Jordan's airport.

Upon arrival at the airport, the suspicious machine underwent an X-ray inspection. This revealed a hidden stash of 12 kilograms of cocaine concealed within.

The seized items were transferred to the Anti-Narcotics Department.
