Dozens of yellow taxi drivers and vehicle proprietors staged a demonstration in Mafraq opposing the operation of unlicensed private vehicles and ride-hailing app cars, according to their claims.

The demonstrators asserted that there has been an increasing presence of unlicensed ride-hailing app vehicles and private cars recently, which has adversely affected their livelihoods and resulted in a substantial decrease in their income.

They clarified that they have made numerous attempts to halt the unlicensed ride-hailing apps that have financially burdened them and rendered them unable to meet their outstanding loan payments.

They emphasized that the protest will continue until their demands are met.
