The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sinan Al-Majali stated that the ministry's Operations Center received a phone call Saturday evening from a Jordanian citizen residing in Libya.

The caller reported the collapse of a Jordanian family's home in the Libyan city of Derna, following the recent floods.

Majali told Roya that the ministry, through the Operations Center and the Jordanian Embassy in Tunisia, is in contact with the relevant authorities in Libya to determine the fate of the family.

He confirmed that the Operations Center at the ministry contacted a relative of the family, consisting of six individuals, who confirmed that he had not gotten in touch with them since the occurrence of the floods.

This falls within the framework of the ministry's ongoing monitoring of the conditions of Jordanian citizens residing in Libya.
