Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah offered condolences to the people of Libya following the hurricane floods that struck the country.
"Our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Libya. Praying for the quick recovery of those injured and for strength to all grieving families," Her Majesty wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
The Hashemite Charity Organization dispatched a humanitarian aid plane to Libya in response to the floods caused by the Daniel storm following the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The organization stated in a statement on Wednesday that this was done in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the Jordanian Armed Forces.
It added that the first plane carries emergency relief materials consisting of tents, blankets, mattresses, and food parcels.
The organization pointed out that coordination has been made with relevant authorities in Libya to deliver and distribute these supplies to all affected areas by the storm and the areas hit by the floods.
