A total of 21 individuals suffered from suffocation due to inhaling gases in the southern port area of Aqaba on Tuesday morning, according to Roya's correspondent.

The correspondent, citing an official source in Aqaba, mentioned that at 3 AM today, civil defense teams in Aqaba dealt with cases of suffocation believed to be caused by ammonia.

Most of the injured were transported to Prince Hashem Military Hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
