Joe Biden, the President of the United States, expressed his condolences and sadness over the loss of life and devastation caused by the recent earthquake in Morocco.

Speaking from Hanoi, Vietnam, President Biden conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the people of Morocco and expressed his commitment to ensuring the safety of American citizens in the country.

"Before we begin, I want to express my sadness by the loss of life and devastation caused by the earthquake in Morocco. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in Morocco, and my friend King Mohammed VII... VI," he said.

He also mentioned that his administration, including Secretary of State Blinken, is actively collaborating with Moroccan officials to provide any necessary assistance to the Moroccan people during this challenging time.

Biden added, "We are working expeditiously to ensure American citizens in Morocco are safe, and stand ready to provide any necessary assistance for the Moroccan people."
