Twelve-year-old Mina Adel is in need of a cochlear implant for his hearing loss due to brain atrophy.

His mother, dedicated to caring for him, is appealing for help to provide his son with the implant and surgery he needs.

The boy has been living in a silent world for 12 years, unable to hear or speak, as a result of oxygen deprivation.

Despite the mother's relentless pursuit of specialist consultations, a solution has remained elusive but the consensus is clear. A cochlear implant is his best chance for a brighter future, a chance to embrace the world of sound and ease his burden.

Hailing from Egypt and now residing in Madaba, Adel's mother cares for him and his sister as her husband works tirelessly as a security guard.
