A 21-year-old Palestinian, identified as Ayed Samih Abu Harb, was killed Tuesday morning during an Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem.
The attack resulted in heavy destruction of the infrastructure in the camp and city, according to medical and local sources.
The Ministry of Health said Harb was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at Thabet Government Hospital.
Another young man was shot in the upper left side of his body which caused him to fall and hit his head hard on the ground resulting in hemorrhaging in the brain, according to the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin.
After receiving the necessary medical treatment, the young man was confirmed to be in stable health condition.
IOF soldiers raided the camp in the early hours of Tuesday morning and forcibly entered a number of homes, said local sources.
IOF bulldozers destroyed the main street adjacent to the entrance to the camp, which is considered a main road that links the city of Tulkarem to several towns as well as Nablus.
The IOF also damaged a number of vehicles and shops in the area.
The IOF opened fire and fired toxic gas bombs at homes and residents of the area, causing damage to the windows of homes, a mosque and a health clinic.
Notably, this was the third raid on the camp over the past two months.
