Ihab Al-Qadri, the representative of the leather and knitted industries division at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, has affirmed that the sector is fully capable of meeting with the requirements for high-quality school uniforms in private schools, aligning with the Ministry of Education's directive.

The Ministry's directive has mandated private school principals and administrations to procure school uniforms from local factories, thereby promoting domestic industry instead of opting for imports.

Jordan presently has 3,093 schools, constituting 42 percent of the overall local school count of 7,315 establishments. The upcoming academic year anticipates a student enrollment surpassing two million, with 21 percent enrolled in private schools.

Qadri emphasized that there's a robust demand for school uniforms, underscoring their accessibility to both public and private sectors at regular prices.

Every Jordanian Dinar spent on purchasing local products contributes around 70 percent to 80 percent of its value in supporting the economy. Over a hundred factories are engaged in producing school uniforms, categorized as small and medium enterprises.
