The Central Traffic Department announced Thursday that 214 vehicles were seized for running red lights over the past 24 hours across the Kingdom.

The department warned against non-compliance with traffic laws and regulations, noting that reckless driving puts people's lives in danger and drivers' vehicles could be seized for safety purposes.

Among the violations warned against are overloading vehicles and speeding.

The department's spokesperson mentioned that a cargo vehicle was seized in Hay Nazzal for carrying 14 people on board, which is above the permissible limit.
