Ahmed Al-Masaafa, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, said that the child who was bitten by a snake at a private school in Irbid on Sunday is in stable condition. Masaafa also stated that such incidents are rare, given the absence of gardens or suitable environments for snakes to enter classrooms.

Efforts have been made to address the situation, with coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture and municipalities to spray the affected school and six neighboring schools in the Al-Taybeh and Al-Wasatia districts. This measure aims to ensure that all schools are free from rodents and other potential threats.

The education directorates continuously emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe environment for students by eradicating weeds and keeping the surroundings clean. The ministry also advises teachers and staff to inspect classrooms prior to students' arrival to ensure their safety. These precautions are in line with the ministry's commitment to preserving the well-being of students.
