Monday, the Dean of Student Affairs at Jordan University Professor Ismail Al-Zyoud decided to impose disciplinary measures on the students who violated rules by taking part in an on-campus fight back in May.
Zyoud said that the decision was made based on recommendations from investigative committees.
The measures included the following:
1- One student was expelled
2- Three students were suspended for four semesters
3- One student was suspended for two semesters
4- 10 students were suspended for one semester
5- Two students were given a 'first warning'
The university stressed that these decisions came based on law, adding that the aim was to ensure the 'stability of the educational process' and correction of student behavior.
