The Hebrew Channel 12 reported Saturday evening that a joint investigation was launched between the Israeli Occupation Forces and the Egyptian army.
Channel 12 added that a senior Egyptian official is participating in investigations.
In a statement, the IOF said: “In the afternoon, while searching for the shooter who killed Leah Bin Noun and another female fighter in the IDF, an IDF force was able to find him in the occupied territories, where an exchange of fire occurred.”
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Egyptian armed forces said that one of their security personnel stationed at the international border line was killed and two others were injured, while chasing drug smugglers.
He also confirmed that three members of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) were killed as well.
