Two young men died of suffocation inside a water well in the Barqash area in the Koura district, west of Irbid.

They were pulled out of the well and transferred to Princess Raya Governmental Hospital, but they died soon after.

Preliminary information indicates that the two young men were carrying out maintenance work inside the well.

Security services opened an investigation into the incident.
