Wednesday, the head of the Jordanian Exporters Association Ahmed Al-Khudari said that the value of Jordanian industrial exports increased from JD 500 million at the end of the 20th century to more than JD 7 billion in 2023.

Khudari added that Jordanian industrial exports play a major role in the development of the national industry.

He explained that nearly a quarter of a million Jordanian employees work in this sector and their products reach 144 different countries around the world.

He noted that Jordan enjoys distinguished economic relations with several countries, including the United States, Canada and the European Union, and has signed bilateral and collective free trade agreements that aim to enhance economic cooperation.

Khudari stressed that Jordanian exports are key to the growth of the economy, providing job opportunities and increasing production.

He also stressed the need for Jordan to benefit from its local resources and enhance scientific research and innovation to develop its products and increase its ability to compete in global markets.

Khodari called for expanding marketing channels, providing incentive programs for exports, and supporting participation in international exhibitions to enhance the national industry.
