WhatsApp announced that it has finally introduced a highly anticipated feature that allows users to edit their messages.

Mark Zuckerberg announced that users now have the ability to modify their sent messages on WhatsApp in a post on his official Facebook page.

This feature will be rolled out globally in the upcoming weeks, according to a recent blog post by WhatsApp, granting senders a 15-minute window to make changes to their messages.

To access the editing function, users can long-press the message and select "edit" from the drop-down menu.

The edited message will be labeled as "edited" without displaying the edit history.

Competing apps like Telegram and Signal already offer message editing capabilities, and Twitter also introduced the ability to edit tweets for certain users last year.
