Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh announced Wednesday that the private sector is included in the Independence Day holiday that falls on Thursday, May 25.
Khasawneh announced Sunday that May 25 will be an official holiday in Jordan, in celebration of the country's Independence Day.
The holiday includes all ministries and official departments, public institutions, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and government-owned companies.
The decision excluded ministries, official departments, and institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise.
