A source from the Traffic Department of the Public Security Directorate, the cause of the recent tunnel accident in Aqaba Governorate has been revealed. The accident occurred earlier this week.

This came as a wedding procession completely stopped inside the tunnel coinciding with the cargo vehicle driver's failure to take necessary precautions while driving, according to the Traffic Department.

On Monday, a video circulated on social media showing a truck driver crashing into several vehicles inside the tunnel in Aqaba.

The video was taken from a camera installed inside the truck, capturing both the driver's face and the road. In the footage, people can be seen coming out of the windows and celebrating something. The truck's speed monitor displayed a speed between 30-60km/h, and the driver can be heard screaming before the collision.
