Hotel occupancy rates exceed 70% over weekend

Hotel occupancy rates in Jordan have risen over the weekend to exceed 70 percent nationwide; this includes 90 percent in the Dead Sea, 80 percent in Petra, 77 percent in Amman and 74 percent in Aqaba, as reported by the Jordanian news agency Petra.

Five-star hotels in the Dead Sea were 90 percent full, while the occupancy rate in four-star hotels stood at 93 percent, according to the media spokesperson for the Jordan Hotels Association Muhammad Al-Qassem.

Five-star hotels in Petra were 80 percent full, while the occupancy rate in four-star hotels stood at 87 percent and at 66 percent in three-star hotels.

Hotel occupancy rate in Amman stood at approximately 77 percent for five-star hotels, 80 percent for four-star hotels and 62 percent for three-star hotels.

In Aqaba, the occupancy rate in five-star hotels stood at 74 percent, 77 percent for four-star hotels and 69 percent for three-star hotels.
