Wednesday night, three teenage boys died after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electricity pole in the Kafr Aan area in Irbid, according to Roya's correspondent.

The boys were identified as Saher Alaa Zayed Al-Mubarak Al-Kharashqa, Mohammad Ma'moun Salem Al-Ibrahim Al-Awawda and Salem Ahmad Salem Al-Ibrahim Al-Awawda. As for the one who was injured and hospitalized, he was identified as Suhaib Hamada Essam Al-Awwad Al-Awawda. 

After the accident, all four teenagers were transported to the Princess Basma Hospital, where three of them were pronounced dead later that night.

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that a specialized team from the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) responded to the accident.

- Authorities reveal cause - 

The Central Traffic Department revealed that the main reason behind the accident was that the driver was underage and had suddenly switched lanes.

The Minister of Education extended his condolences to the boys' families and friends, noting that they were ninth graders at the Qimim Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys.

The heartbreaking news took social media by a storm, as people mourned their death and wished Awawda a speedy recovery.
