Donald Trump pleads not guilty in Manhattan court

Tuesday, former president Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts in Manhattan court, as reported by CNN.

This came following hearing the charges against him based on "hush money investigations."

His legal team had previously mentioned that Trump will challenge the charges.

Trump is expected to to fly back to Florida later and speak at Mar-a-Lago.

- Indictment unsealed -

According to the CNN, the indictment alleges Trump was involved in a conspiracy to undermine the 2016 election's integrity.

It also alleges that he took part in an 'unlawful plan' to suppress negative information, including the alleged USD 130,000 illegal payment.

The indictment also alleges that the crime of falsifying business records was committed in order to “promote his candidacy," CNN noted.

Trump did not make a statement as he left the Manhattan courtroom following his arraignment. 

His next appearance in court is scheduled on Dec. 4 in a New York courtroom.
