Tuesday, there was a noticeable decrease in the prices of a number of vegetables, based on the prices issued by the Vegetables and Fruits Central Wholesale Market.

A total of 3,016,604 tons of vegetables, fruits and leafy greens were imported to the central market of the Greater Amman Municipality Tuesday.

This quantity includes 1,910,632 tons of vegetables, 887,837 tons of fruits and 218,134 tons of leafy greens.

According to the central market's latest price list (per kilogram):

• Bellpeppers: 80-100 piasters
• Eggplants: 20-30 piasters
• Dry onions: 30-40 piasters
• Potatoes: 15-30 piasters
• Tomatoes: 10-25 piasters
• Cucumbers: 30-50 piasters
• Lemons: 50-100 piasters
• Cauliflower: 15-30 piasters
• Bananas: 65-90 piasters
• Garlic: 20-50 piasters 
• Chili peppers: 80-100 piasters
