Lebanese protesters set fire to tires and shoot fireworks at the Central Bank in Beirut as living conditions in the crisis-hit country deteriorate further and the currency plummets to new lows against the dollar.

One protester Abed Tabaa said "They shouldn't be allowed to go out and have a good time and go to restaurants while we can't even feed our children. It's not right at all."

Another protester Feryal Kallout "We want our money, nothing else. We want our money. They can give it in installments, we're not saying give us all of it at once, even if it's just USD 1,000 a month."

Rami Ghandour, another demonstrator, said "This will happen at all the banks in Lebanon. Down with those who took our money, that's our slogan."
