The Ramadan cannon was fired from the Ras Al-Ain area in the center of the capital, Amman, in conjunction with the Maghrib (sunset) Adhan to mark the time of Iftar.

The media spokesperson for the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Nasser Al-Rahmneh had previously stated that the Ramadan cannon will be fired throughout the whole month of Ramadan. 

Today, the Holy month of Ramadan began in Jordan.
