Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official visit Sunday.

Assad held talks with the President of the UAE His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Watan.

The Syrian president was accompanied by his wife Asma al-Assad during the visit.
