The sighting of the crescent moon of the Holy month of Ramadan will be next Wednesday, March 22.

The Secretary General of the General Ifta Department Ahmed Al-Hasanat told Roya that if the crescent moon is sighted on Wednesday evening, the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan will be Thursday, corresponding to March 23, 2023.

Astronomically, Ramadan is expected to begin Thursday (March 23), provided that the crescent of the holy month will be sighted after sunset Tuesday, Shaaban 29 1444 AH, corresponding to March 21, 2023.

According to astronomical predictions, the moon will set before the sun in all countries of the region, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, and Egypt, making it almost impossible to see.
