Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh decided Monday to limit the official working hours for those working in public sectors during the Holy Month of Ramadan to start at 10am until 3pm.
The decision includes all ministries, official departments, institutions, public bodies, official universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and government-owned companies.
However, the decision excludes those working in the private sector and employees whose nature of work requires otherwise.
The official working hours will return to normal after Ramadan.
Khasawneh stressed that all institutions need to preserve the sanctity of the holy month and take into account the "feelings of those who fast."
