The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) dealt with 533 cases of trafficking of narcotic substances during February, during which 957 people were arrested.

The media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate said that during February, 214,353 kg of hashish, 1,553,997 pills of narcotic Captagon, 46,563 thousand of other narcotic pills, and 2,536 kg of crystal meth were seized. In addition to 0.947 kg of narcotic industrial hashish, 0.873 kg of narcotic industrial marijuana powder and firearms.

He added that the Anti-Narcotics Department launched 559 awareness campaigns this week, which included a number of courses, lectures, workshops and seminars in partnership with academic and media agencies and relevant partners.

In the same context, those admitted into the drug treatment center this week reached 59 cases.
