Israeli Occupation settlers who rampaged through the occupied West Bank town of Huwwara inflicted damages worth USD 5 million, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The town mayor Mu‘in Damidi said that damages were inflicted by hundreds of settlers who attacked the town, south of Nablus, Sunday.

They burned down at least 35 houses and partially damaging 40 others and torching or destroying more than 100 cars, were worth approximately USD 5 million.

At least one Palestinian was killed and nearly 400 wounded in hours-long rampage on the town as well as in the other attacks on West Bank towns and villages, south of Nablus.

This is not to mention the other losses sustained by the town residents, estimated in hundreds of thousands of shekels, as a result of the ongoing closure of their businesses and stores, Damidi added.

He pointed that schools were still closed and the armed soldiers prevent the residents from using the main street.
