UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, announced Saturday that the Central Emergency Response Fund will release $250 million to "support some of the most vulnerable people" in the world, including those at risk of famine in Africa.

Speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the 36th African Union summit in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, Guterres bemoaned the Security Council's lack of African representation, saying: "the biggest injustice that exists today in the Security Council is that lack of at least one African permanent member".
