Astronomy expert Imad Mujahid revealed Saturday that the US space agency, NASA, is thinking of spraying the Earth’s atmosphere with sulfur gas, in order to cool the earth.

Mujahid told Roya that NASA is considering the feature of "solar geology," which is to send sulfur dioxide into the Earth's atmosphere.

Sending sulfur dioxide into the earth's atmosphere would reflect the sun's rays before they reach the earth, and reduce the temperature by half a degree Celsius, according to Mujahid.

Mujahid noted the land is exposed to a rise in temperatures due to climate changes, which has caused many climatic problems.

The expert explained that the Earth's temperature has increased by one to one and a half degrees in the past century.
